CompanionDeals is an independent review site for people who want AI companionship without overpaying for it. We cover the three most popular AI companion apps — Candy.ai, DreamGF, and FantasyGF — and judge them the way a careful shopper would: what's free, what it really costs, and where the money quietly leaks out.
How we evaluate pricing fairness and value
- We test the free tiers ourselves. We sign up free on every app and map exactly what's included and where the paywall hits — so our "cheapest way to start" verdicts come from real accounts, not marketing pages.
- We read the checkout, not the landing page. Headline prices and renewal figures often differ. We evaluate based on what the checkout actually charges, including renewal terms and what's billed separately as tokens or credits.
- We score on value criteria. Every app is judged on free-tier generosity, entry price, what's included versus what costs extra, pricing transparency, and annual-plan savings.
- We don't quote prices we can't verify. App pricing changes constantly, so our statements stay qualitative and every page tells you to confirm live figures at checkout. Anything we're unsure about is flagged in the copy.
- We re-check regularly. Pricing models shift — sometimes fast. We revisit our verdicts and update every page's last-updated date when we do.
Editorial independence
We earn money through affiliate commissions (full disclosure here), but commissions never influence our value verdicts. Companies don't preview our content, don't pay for placement, and don't see verdicts before publication. If an app's pricing is a trap, we say so — even if it pays us.
